The measurement of attenuation in polymer optical fibers doped with fluorescent dye.

 

The new method of measurement of attenuation in dye-doped polymer optical fiber based on side illumination is offered. Attenuation coefficient of polymer optical fibers doped with Rhodamine is measured. The influence of measurement conditions on measuring attenuation coefficient is revealed.
